On the throne

Mrs Queen has sat on the throne for seventy years, now.

Which is a long time, gawd bless ‘er.

But, even after 30 years together, I can tell you that Mrs Masher has never seen me sitting on it.

Some things are just… well, private.

I’ve seen her sitting on the toilet loads of times though, as she has no qualms about coming in and having a dump whilst I am in the shower or cleaning my teeth.

Is that a female thing?

I remember going out with a girl many years ago and the first time I stayed over at her place, I was shocked when she casually walked into the bathroom the following morning and started taking a shit whilst I was in the bath (she did it in the toilet, not in the bath, I hasten to add!).

Maybe girls don’t have that kind of hang up?

Or maybe men don’t have that kind of hang up either and it’s just me?

  1. Contrary to common belief the female of the species does like to share and is not restricted to the Masher household.

  2. Friends of ours used to have an en suite with no door !!! ( and I think the bed was opposite the no door ) Also, what is going on with those TV shows where they show you a property and the bath ( always ” roll top”) is actually in the bedroom…..Noooo!

    • A bath in the bedroom? Never heard of that before. Handy if you suffer from wet dreams, I s’pose.
      But, an en-suite without a door? So you can lay in bed and watch your partner on the toilet? No!
      Your friends wouldn’t happen to be French, would they?

  3. We are the mirror image. My good lady wife her indoors shuts out the world when she’s sitting down on the job. I have no qualms about letting it all hang out. So to speak.
